Partner
KL has under his belt more than 20 years’ experience in journalism and also over 20 years in public relations.
He started his journalism career in the now-defunct Echo, one of the early newspapers in the country. He left Penang later and joined the New Straits Times in Kuala Lumpur where he served in the general news section and later joined the pioneer team of the revived business section, then known as Times Business. KL capped his journalism experience by heading the Business Desk at The New Straits Times.
In 1995, KL took up partnership in Quattro Communications. His depth of experience in journalism combined with a good foundation in public relations established from an earlier intensive sojourn in an international public relations consultancy armed him with the ability to approach challenges and opportunities analytically and incisively. Being owner-operator, he has been very much hands-on in providing Quattro’s partners-in-communications with strategic inputs in corporate, financial, technology and healthcare communications.
With the distinct advantage of being on the both sides, KL has the benefit of the intimate knowledge of the inner workings of journalists and news rooms to also coach the corporate sector on effective communications and media relations.
